About Me

I provide a warm, understanding space for your journey.

I’m Cansev Hussein, a Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor in Orpington, Kent. Many people come to me when life feels confusing, heavy or simply too fast to process. My aim is to offer a calm, steady space where you can talk things through and begin to understand what’s going on beneath the surface. You don’t have to manage everything alone, and reaching out is often the first step toward feeling more grounded.

I work with both men and women, inviduals and couples, each bringing their own experiences, pressures and hopes for change. Some want to make sense of long‑standing patterns; others are dealing with something more immediate. Whatever brings you here, this is a place where you can speak openly and feel heard without judgement.

A strong therapeutic relationship is central to the work. When someone feels genuinely understood, clarity starts to emerge and emotions feel less tangled. I focus on creating a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely, at a pace that feels right for you.

Counselling is something I care deeply about. I’ve seen how powerful it can be when someone finally has room to express what they’ve been carrying. Being alongside people as they make sense of their experiences or reconnect with parts of themselves is something I consider a privilege.

As an Accredited Registrant Member of The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Acc.), I work to recognised professional and ethical standards. I offer both short‑term and long‑term therapy and welcome clients of all ages and backgrounds.

My approach is integrative, drawing from several therapeutic models rather than relying on just one. Depending on your needs, we may use elements of Person‑Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This flexibility allows the work to be shaped around you.

I see therapy as a collaborative process. You bring your experiences and goals; I bring my training and a commitment to supporting you. Together, we look at what’s getting in the way and what might help you move toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.

Whether you’re seeking support for a specific issue or simply want to understand yourself more deeply, this is a space where you can take that step at your own pace. Many people find that once they begin talking, things start to feel a little less overwhelming.
